Article published by CASA, praising UT ODPhi

CASA is our Philanthropy

CASA of Travis County is grateful to benefit from the work of the young men of Omega Delta Phi fraternity. Each spring the University of Texas students plan their Founders Week with a variety of events including a campus wide Comedy Night which features a gift card drive for children CASA helps, manning a community table with CASA information on the campus’s main mall, a kickball tournament with entry fees donated to CASA, and a “Family Feud” game with teams competing for prizes. Omega Delta Phi also invites CASA to speak at their annual regional conference, a strong partnership since CASA has a strategic goal to recruit more diverse male volunteers. “These young men are already leaders in their communities,” says Sonia Kotecha, Community Outreach Liaison for CASA of Travis County, “And they’re the next wave of CASA volunteers!”

More than 30 Brothers from San Antonio and across Texas attended the University of Texas at San Antonio’s Multicultural Greek Council stroll show in early October. The occasion marked the first event that the former Alpha Delta Chapter Brothers were able to participate in this year. Richie Pineda, Ruben Espinoza and Jacob Cepeda from Chi Chapter entered the competition to represent Omega Delta Phi. In true ODPhi fashion, the Chi Chapter team won first place in the competition! Congratulations to Chi Chapter, Alpha Delta Chapter and the entire Central Texas region for making the Omega Delta Phi nation proud!
